02 / Practice

Built from
the frame out.

A practice shaped first by still photography, then by set work, long-form production and a continued focus on cinematography and lighting.

2019

Photography began the practice.

Started in still photography, learning to build atmosphere, shape a subject and find narrative within a single frame.

2020

From aerial work to the film set.

Moved into promotional-film aerial cinematography and camera-department assisting, developing the discipline of set workflow and moving-image collaboration.

2021

ARGO STUDIO, built for the full production process.

Founded ARGO STUDIO and worked across web drama, brand films, TVCs, MVs and short-form content - accumulating practical experience across very different scales of production.

2024

MFA — Theatre & Film · Cinematography & Production

Huace Film School, Zhejiang University of Media and Communications. MFA in Theatre & Film, specialising in Cinematography & Production, with Kang Xiaotian as industry mentor.

2025

CNSC Masterclass · Cohort 26

Completed the 26th CNSC Masterclass, an advanced professional programme from the Chinese Society of Cinematographers - China’s national professional society for cinematography. Focused on contemporary cinematography and lighting practice with working industry experts.
